I bought this monocular because there is a dove that has been flying by my condo unit since I bought it 13 years ago. I’ve seen it a few times and have seen it’s family as well as babies. With this monocular I though maybe I could see them better as well as get a cool picture considering it comes with tripod and adapter to attach to your phone. I have to say that I haven’t gotten the picture yet but have gotten some really cool pictures of other animals and birds around my area. The lens is super clear and magnification is super smooth and precise. It can be operated with one hand and has been really cool owing it so far. As time goes by I’ll try to post some of the photos I get with this monocular. It’s a great buy!

I received my monocular today and went through the whole test and it was very easy to assemble on the camera to line it up for a more closer focus using the phone camera and wow, very powerful. I used the tripod to keep it steady and took pictures and was amazed of the quality. Be sure to take off you phone protection cover and then clamp on the holder, then put on the plastic viewer and make adjustments to the eye of you camera on the phone before putting on the monocular and once that is done you might have to make a little adjustment for a better view. Then screw the tripod on and adjust that to your comfort and then test it and you will see how it easy it really is. It is durable and worth the money and even my 8 year old enjoyed it.

Found this monocular for a good price at about $30 and I feel it was a good value for a everyday carry type of piece without the overhead of expense for light use. The unit works well and the optics are very clear. Exactly what I expected for the price but surprise, even better that I thought for the price. The phone holder is a little too snug for my OnePlus One to my liking but works pretty well after using it a few times. The size is is good for my hand and the controls operate smoothly. The housing and texture feels good in the hand. I hope this to be a fun addition to our hiking and animal watching. The only slight negative is the tripod is a little silly in that its size is so small that it makes the use of it with the monocular top heavy. I have yet to see when I would use it but it was not considered when purchasing as I plan to use it hand held most often.

This is honestly fantastic. I have had binoculars before and I don’t really like looking with both eyes it always felt awkward on my face. This is much more comfortable than binoculars and you can see very good. My kids have been enjoying watching things in their neighborhood and I have too. I can’t wait to go out of the city soon to see more of its potential.

It has a handy bag for the scope itself, but would put the attachments, including the tripod in another one for ease of removing.
