I have had Smart Mini Camera. The pan scan, I think its called, is not intended for outdoors but with a silicone sleeve they last. Bought these to replace two of the pan scan cameras and the difference in technology from 6 years ago is incredible. Pitch black and my driveway looks like daylight on the camera with infrared. The little spotlight that comes on makes everything color. Very impressed. With these designed for outdoor use I hope they last many years more than 5, although if technology changes this fast, I may replace them sooner. Good stuff!

I'm thankful to who that came up with these these cameras . The one I bought, you just plug into your socket to put in a window, and it is still very affordable. For those of us who don't have much to spend on security, it's a life saver. I put one in my front porch window to see who's at the door, and also one in my bedroom window to see who's walking by. It alerts me on my phone with a video to watch, and tells me if its movement, or a person. As an older single woman living on a ground floor, it makes me feel safer.

I am a novice at this stuff. Never had a security cam before. But, for an entry level cam, this Smart Mini Camera totally rocks! Setup was relatively simple, and it has all the necessary functions the average homeowner needs. I have it connected to my Android phone and my iPad via the appropriate apps. Connection to Wi-Fi was simple, and micro card (not included) is sufficient. It face detects, package delivery detection, vehicle detection, mic and speaker, notifications too. Now, I did opt for the subscription to get all the features. It captures pics, videos and can live stream. Instant notifications of movement, sound, people and vehicles. The color is great day or night. 120 degree field of view is good enough for us, and resolution seems great. We can see our front porch, walkway, driveway and the cul-de-sac street. Granted, we may not be able to read distant license plates, but that’s not a deal breaker. Two pics are from live streaming daytime and nighttime. Happy for now!

For it's small size it packs a punch. The camera's picture and sound are very clear and with great definition. Continuous 24/7 recording to SD is why I chose this brand. The app is also excellent with great features. Works perfect with a Samsung 256GB UHS-1 SD card. The camera can be angled in almost any direction. It has great IR night vision with 2 different levels, a spotlight, an alarm, motion and sound sensing, event recording with thumbnails, and 2 way audio. I kind of wish I would have bought Smart Mini Camera for my other 4 indoor cameras.

There was a time when it took a PhD and a bunch of money to get a home security camera installed. Now, for the price of a few tacos, you can own a wireless HD camera. These can stream audio and video to the cloud (with a free account) or can record video to a micro-SD card. USB power allows you to run the camera from a PC or any generic power brick. The camera quality is crystal clear, although it can be tricky to avoid reflections when shooting through a window so place it outside if possible. My driveway is a high traffic area and with Smart Mini Camera I can track who's home, who's gone, who's coming and who's going. I can't believe how well these work and how inexpensive they are.

They're perfect. It's worth it in my opinion, or u can just buy an SD card. Keep it simple. They have audio which I love & they're small but the view is pretty wide. Great investment. I chose these also because they do not require a hub/ reciever which wouldve been a deal breaker for me.
