As you can see from the photos we are restoring a farm all tractor and this sand blaster is such a big help!!! It would have been nice to have a bigger hopper but that is truly the only thing we would change! It never clogged and did a good job removing the 50+year old baked on paint.

Tried carb cleaners, brushes and even sandpaper on a carburetor that had had sat with gas from 1981 turned into a hard varnish with dirt. Put this on my small 5gallon air compressor and loaded it with soda media. It cleaned like magic. No surface damage to the amluminium or brass and the varnish and dirt melted away in hard to reach places. Tried it on a valve cover and took the paint off nicely. Should have bought one years ago.

Absolutely worth the money. Easy to use and faster than what others make it out to be. If I can help here is my two cents:Compressor pressure to the gun: 90+ PSIMedia: fine black sand ($8 for 50lb bag at northern tool)Move the gun in small circles as you spray or hold at 45 degree angle on your work piece.Play with it and find your groove.I used for lifters out of an engine and the oil pan. Works amazing, pictures speak for themselves.Don’t forget eye protection and gloves for your hands.

Ideal for my DIY project, worked surprisingly well for removing surface rust and paint. I had tried various methods of removing rust and paint from a milk can with little success. The Portable Sand Blaster did the trick. It is light weight and easy to use. I have a 30 gallon compressor and It worked at 135 psi. I had to fill the container with fine playground sand quite frequently. It still worked great for my small project and I did not have any clogs, but I wouldn't recommend for a big project.
