Bought this with the hope my little 13 lb Shorkie would be able to ride with me. I was skeptical that she would sit still. But I was pleasantly surprised that she never moved a muscle. She looks around and enjoys the ride. I put her in the seat and walked the bike around the block every night for a week to test her out and get her used to it. Especially since she is very sociable with other dogs and is a squirrel chaser and thought that would be an issue if she saw one. Also, I wanted to be prepared if she tried to jump out. After the week I was confident that she would sit still. We both now enjoy a ride around the neighborhood. Also will try using it as a backpack for hiking. Think she will like that too!

I love this basket. Marty is starting to love the basket too! It's plenty big enough for a small dog. Marty is about 9 pounds and the basket doesn't shift when he shifts. There are pockets on each side which would easily hold 2 bottles of water each. It's made well and I'm sure it will last a long time.
