   My grandson spent the night. He loves space. He is in the third grade. I knew from the price that this was not going to be a fancy solar system. You know it was not fancy but he worked on it that night (really gave him something to do) he adored it. Well worth the money. I say buy it ...good for a birthday gift or a fill in the time gift. So much better than sitting in front of the TV....good buy for the money

   I purchased this for my 4-year-old granddaughter, but decided she was not quite ready for it. So I waited for her fifth birthday and then brought it out for her inspection. Yes, she had heard about the planets and wanted to put the kit together. So far we have worked on it for two sessions. We assembled it together, and then she painted the sun and the planets in their basic colors. Next, she will paint the details and apply the glow-in-the-dark paint. She has very much enjoyed construction and painting, and comments on the relative smallness of the earth compared to the other planets and the sun. She understands that, so far as we know, only the earth has animal and plant life. Next we will talk about how the planets revolve around the sun and how the earth rotates on its axis, creating day and night. The kit is perfect for illustrating the two movements.

   Instructions clear, well packaged. Nice variety of colors. It isnt what can be called sturdy but it is a presentation piece or decoration after all. My grandson used to for a school project. He is 9 and was able to follow the directions easily.

   You will love it. Make sure, this is the product which needs at least 30-60 minutes of time to set it up because it will come with all white colour balls with different sizes and you need to disassemble them and start fixing them and next you need to paint them. One thing that I love about this product was, this is the first project for my 3-years-old son which was prepared by me and my wife together.....!

   I like this gift set for its unique 3-D quality. It easy to do if given to an older kid. I gave it to a cute 4 year old girl but she has difficulty painting the teeny tiny planets. However, she got overjoyed when she put the assembled, painted solar system in the dark and found it glowing in the dark!
