Overall this portable AC works pretty great. I got it for my daughter's room because for some reason our AC is not strong enough to reach her room and she was always hot. Living with a pet desert lizard, my small studio definitely warms up because of the heat lamps so I bought this to keep my boyfriend and me cool to sleep better and works much better than a fan. The only downside is that naturally the water runs out after I’d say a few short hours so if you plan to use frequently you’ll want too keep a jug of filtered water nearby constantly. Otherwise it fits our needs great and I love that it’s portable!

During recent heat wave, placed a few ice cubes in top and added cool water. Placed the unit on my desk while I worked in the afternoon, turned it on, and it provide very cool air for the next few hours. When pouring in water, just fill the top area. Don't refer to the guide on the side. I would set in sink to drain. Be sure to do that every few hours if running this unit a lot.
