Bought this on a whim, and I am pleased. It arrived quickly and packed within a small cardboard box. The disc easily attached to my grinder, and as a beginner, I was thrilled to find that using this disc is easy. Practicing on scrap wood is a great idea. The blades cost so little, you can really go to town on these guys, but be careful because the blades are incredibly sharp.

I was so pleased I went ahead and bought the curved disc from this store as well.

One thing I would recommend is to wear cut-resistant gloves just in case. Safety first!

I have an older DeWalt 4 1/2" disc grinder. I had to buy the additional special nut (not included) to make the disc fit on my grinder. The standard nut on the DeWalt grinder is larger than the 38 mm and doesn't fit the recess. I use this cutter for wood carving for sculptures etc. This is a very powerful tool as it cuts fast and safes a lot of time. This is not a toy, so be careful and wear safety gear.

I don't know the lifespan of this product since I just got it today and cut for only about 1 hour. So far I'm very happy with this buy.

This carving disc is by far the very best on the market. I am making an Alexandria Chair for my wife from Purple Heart wood (as hard as iron). This disc cut and shape this dense wood like a hot knife through butter. I have been woodworking and furniture building for 50 years ... this is the best carving disc out there ... bar none.

It took me about 10 mins to get on to it but after that things went smoothly..I was working on a dough bowl , it does a nice job of carving..Also I had to order the Kowood 4 1/2" angle grinder flange.. 5/8" arbor 1 1/2" flange..
